Small Mountain Elopement In the Rockies

Getting photobombed by nature is the best way to get married. Amanda and Zacharey initially planned to have their big wedding at the YMCA of the Rockies at Estes Park. Due to Covid they had to rearrange their plans and made the decision to have a small elopement with the people who mattered most at an outdoor chapel overlooking the Colorado Rockies!

Zach and Amanda shared the ultimate Cabin dream of a lifetime. A picturesque wedding in the Colorado mountains. Together We Roam captured an adventure that would last for a lifetime. The vibe was right as the elements of nature set the perfect tone for a romantic escape.

If you’re looking for a romantic escape, there’s no better place to go than the Colorado mountains. The stunning scenery and fresh air will leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area, from hiking and biking to fishing and skiing. You’ll also find plenty of charming bed and breakfasts where you can relax and unwind. So if you’re looking for a special getaway with your loved one, be sure to check out the Colorado mountains!

Amanda and Zacharey ended up renting cabins near the location and got ready with their families. During their ceremony, a deer photobombed their ceremony pictures- making the day extra special since during their engagement session, they got photobombed by a moose too! After their ceremony they shared a first dance on the chapels deck with big beautiful mountains surrounding them.
We took the rest of the afternoon to adventure at Rocky Mountain National Park, because why would you not? We saw marmots and rainbows and the most amazing mountain scenery that Rocky Mountain National Park offers. It was a blast working with Amanda and Zacharey and we love that they didn\’t see this pandemic as a big problem to the only thing that mattered most to them: Getting married!

How did you meet?

Zach and Amanda met working as public accountants in Minnesota. We then came out to Colorado to enjoy the outdoors and adventure, our favorite things!

What is your proposal story?

We were in Napa on vacation and it was Zach’s day that he had planned. Zach had the ring in his pocket during a day out at wineries. While we were stopped at a roadside burger restaurant, Amanda jokingly asked which winery was up next and tapped his pocket, where she felt a ring box! Zach awkwardly tried to brush it off and went ahead with the proposal as planned. It was a painful couple of hours.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

The favorite part of our day was driving into Rocky Mountain National Park and taking photos and just being alone.

Why a Mountain Wedding? What’s your biggest piece of advice for other couples planning a mountain wedding?

We love the mountains, outdoors and that’s where we wanted to celebrate our relationship. Take advantage of the outdoors being the beautiful piece of your wedding. You can get away with not decorating or spending money on a venue when the scenery takes care of it all!
