I recently commented on Life Be Delicious blog's Wordless Wednesday, saying how much I loved the whole concept. She commented back that she co-opted it from a few other blogs. Why reinvent the wheel, she asked. Indeed!
So in the spirit of the ever inspiring Snippet and Ink, The Knotty Bride, and others who do a weekly roundup, I bring you my first! Mostly comprised of my favorite bookmarked posts and sites from the week. To see more of my bookmarks, or to subscribe to my newest bookmarks, visit my Delicious page.

Mountain Girls
Image from A Mountain Bride
There are so many reasons why I can't stop thinking about Tiffany's (from A Bride on Purpose) wedding. She had everything I think is super cool. Home-grown flowers, burlap runners on white linens, a beautiful mountain backdrop, and bridesmaids on dirt bikes. How freaking cool is that?
Jes (from A Mountain Bride) got married a few weeks ago and has marshaled her blogger sisters to deliver some incredible look at real weddings and serve up some fantastic hindsight advice! If you haven't been following, make sure to do so soon. Not only does Jes have some of the best mountain girl inspiration, she also has posted an incredible planning journey. Check it out!
Photography Backup Fail!
Image from EastSide Bride
The Eastside Bride has been delivered the heart rending news that her professional photographer has lost her reception photos. WHAT THE F@#$ !!!!!!!
I think reception photos are the hardest to lose. You can always do a bridal, TTD, or anniversary shoot with your husband, but you will never have all those people together under those exact circumstances again. :'(
I am so so sad for her. The discussion is a good one and well worth the time to read.Of note, the professional photographer behind Peonies and Polaroids writes:
"Yes, hard drive accidents happen, to everyone, even professionals BUT THAT'S WHY YOU MAKE COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL, UNTOUCHED FILES ON TWO SEPARATE COMPUTERS AND TWO EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES, ONE OF WHICH LIVES IN A WHOLE DIFFERENT BUILDING TO THE OTHER. AND WHY YOU DON'T WIPE YOUR MEMORY CARDS UNTIL THE COPIES ARE MADE. For Fuck sake."
Some Hindsight advice is in order. It might behoove you to ask your professional photographer what her or his process is for backing up images and what their policy is for lost or ruined pictures.
