Vintage Roses and Woodland Nymphs

There were two posts that popped up on my radar today that I just had to share with you. The first is from 100 Layer Cake and features a vintage wedding dress from the 19th century. But far from stiff or stodgy, this fabric confection looks like it belongs on a woodland nymph.

Gorgeous huh?

The next post that popped up on my radar is a bit older and was tweeted from the WeddingBee. It's alternatives to peonies. As you know, peonies have a very short season in the spring. Having peonies in the summer can be cost prohibitive. So the blog Lovely Little Details has posted a number of peony alternative for your pleasure and to your relief. My favorites? Definitely ranunculous and Claire roses (shown in order of mention.)
