The Only Mountain Wedding Mag, Really
You know how grandpa always says, “When I was a boy I had to walk to school, alone, through 10 feet of snow, uphill, both ways!” Yeah, well I find myself saying, “When I was planning my wedding … blogs didn’t cover mountain weddings, and a Google search for the term yielded crappy keyword stuffed sites. Today’s mountain brides are lucky indeed to have the likes of Brides Magazine and Style Me Pretty publishing mountain weddings fairly frequently. Then there’s the Rocky Mountain Bride, Colorado Couture, Lux Mountain Weddings, and yours truly, all of whom publish gads of mountain weddings.
Speaking of Luxe Mountain Weddings, they have a brand new print magazine out. Seriously, it’s the first of it’s kind, covering mountain weddings from British Colombia to Asheville. Nearly every mountain region is represented. (Vermont you need to get with the program and submit. They’re on Two Bright Lights)
Debbie, the publisher was kind enough to send along a sneak peek of my top picks from the premiere issue, including two mountain elopements and an ice-skating inspired winter wedding.
This magazine is gorgeous and chock full of beautiful and inspiring mountain weddings. And each one is different. This isn’t simply the Rustic Wedding Show. You’ll find every type of mountain bride in here, including the rustic ranch bride, to be sure, but also including the elegant garden bride, the sophisticated grand lodge bride, and the outdoorsy skiing bride.
You’ll find brides and grooms playing around on ice skates, canoeing across Alpine lakes, and saying I Do against the most stunning mountain backdrops. My favorite this issue: the huge elopement section! In fact, the first two weddings above are elopements: one on Lake Louise in Alberta Canada, and the other in British Columbia.
