Hannah + Troy
March 6, 2015
Sedona, Arizona

Wedding day weather: Sunny, slight breeze, a little chilly. Around 65-68 degrees.
Number of guests: 120
Your budget: $16,000
Biggest splurge: My wedding dress
Biggest savings: Catering and decor

Why did you choose the Mountains for your wedding?

My husband and I chose the mountains of Sedona because we love the outdoors, it has been a favorite hiking spot, and the Sedona-red mountains are just beautiful!

Wedding day theme:

We wanted a relaxed, natural theme for our wedding. We had simple, neutral decor that balanced well with the beauty around us.

Where did you find your inspiration?

I looked on Pinterest for ideas.

How did you choose to personalize your wedding?

We had hand drawn art and signs made by a close friend and we displays many pictures of us together, our childhood, and our families.

What was your favorite part of the reception?

Dancing! Dancing with my husband and father! Obviously dancing with all of my dear friends and loved ones as well. So much fun.

What are three things you’re super glad you did?

I am super glad I had the BEST photographers, videographer, and stress-free atmosphere. Having a low-maintenance, natural setting/decor really helped. Having my family and close friends helping set up really helped as well.

What was the biggest challenge in planning your mountain wedding and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge had to be making sure our close relatives were secured a room, but Sky Ranch Lodge was great so we did not have any issues.

How did you find and choose your vendors?

We got great referrals and looked online.

What is your best piece of advice to other mountain brides who are planning their weddings?

Relax! Ask for help from those you know will make you stress-free. People will forgot the “things” at your wedding, but they will always remember to joy and love you shared with your loved one.
