From Amy Galbraith: Ryan and Natalie’s wedding weekend in Sandpoint, Idaho, started off with dinner at the wedding venue followed by a gorgeous lake cruise on Lake Pend Oreille with Lake Pend Oreille Cruises. Most of the guests stayed at the venue itself, Talus Rock Retreatt, a large home that hugs the foothills of the surrounding mountains. It provided an incredible backdrop to all of the love and celebration shared throughout the weekend for this intimate wedding. In typical fashion, the clouds darkened as the ceremony hour approached and the skies opened up. A few very loving and dedicated family members donned garbage bag ponchos and hauled in all of the ceremony set-up which had been outside. Family and friends wiped all the vintage chairs clean, carefully set up the wrought-iron arch, and an indoor ceremony was born. The rain of course let up when the ceremony began, but gave way to a beautiful rainbow for all the guests to enjoy. The evening continued to a lovely outdoor cocktail hour and dinner, complete with Ryan and Natalie’s signature cocktail, a lavender martini. The bride had even made her own lavender simple syrup. After dinner, guests enjoyed warmth by the fire pit, dancing, and a little sparkler play time. The evening finished with the bridal party getting to relax and enjoy themselves in the property’s hot tub. Having both recently graduated from medical school, it was amazing to see these two be able to relax and enjoy their special weekend with their closest friends and family.
