Rustic Forest Santa Cruz Mountain Wedding

Kaitlyn never knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding when she was growing up. Except that she wanted trees. Lots of them. Kaitlyn also wanted somewhere where all the family could be together, stress-free. Luckily Paul couldn’t have agreed more with his soon-to-be-wife. Upon revisiting this location prior to their wedding the couple knew it was the perfect place. A magnificent location surrounded by redwood trees, cozy cabins and a beautiful rustic barn as the cherry on top. The bride’s bouquet was a stunning arrangement of pink, yellow and purple wildflowers. The perfect unique compliment and celebration of the natural environment.

Kaitlyn’s family played a huge part in their special day. Kaitlyn’s grandpa officiated their union. Her father shared a special tearful first look moment with her and the bride’s two youngest sisters were the ring bearers. The rings were carried down the aisle in monogrammed wood boxes with burlap and lace. The couple chose the bride’s favorite color for their rings. Rose gold. The accent color was also featured throughout their decorations to incorporate a small pop of color that didn’t distract from the Mother Natures’ gift.

The groom also had touches of himself laced throughout the wedding choices. The groom designed the wedding menu himself. As a chef, it’s no surprise that the food was delectable. A feast to fill the stomachs of all the guests in the dreamlike forest reception.

Comfort is key! And that includes your big day. So Kaitlyn and Paul decided to choose cool and comfortable footwear for their wedding. Having their entire wedding party don vans. White for the girls and black for the guys. This was just another personal touch the couple added to make their wedding unique and special to them.
