Royal Inspired Wedding Invitations on a Commoner’s Budget

Love the Royal Wedding invitation but you're on a budget?

I've been working with Smart Bride Boutique for a few months now, and the more I work with them, the more impressed I am with them, especially for their ability to deliver high quality advice. And you know I love me some good advice!

At the launch of their Princess for a Day month-long giveaway, I had an opportunity to attend their launch webinar where several wedding experts, like Kitty Andrews, and Amanda Pearl shared their tips and advice on having a royal wedding on a budget. One piece of advice I loved was from Laura K. Beauparlant of Laura K Designs.

Try Monogrammed Invitations

The royal invitation is a gold engraved with the Queen's insignia with beveled and gilded edges. Wow! Gold engraved! I don't know about you by that's a bit beyond my budget. For budget conscious couples, Laura suggests a monogrammed invitation. Here is a round up of some of my favorite elegant monogrammed designs.

Monograms are inherently elegant, no matter what the style. I love the formality of the monogrammed wrap above, but the warm, natural color palette softens the super formal effect of using a monogram, making them appropriate for somewhat less formal, outdoor events events. Similarly, the morn modern font, pared with a scripty boarder makes the invitation below quite versatile.

But I think one of my favorite picks for mountain brides planning an outdoor fete is Laura K.'s round monogrammed seal. The colors are natural, the font bold and a bit formal, and the whole thing is ringed with leaves. It's formal enough and with enough a natural rustic flare to announce the most elegant of mountan fetes or a down-to-earth outdoor wedding in a mountain meadow–very versatile for mountain brides.
