Purple + Turquoise DIY Mountain Wedding | Estes Park

Kirstin + Jeremy
May 20, 2012
Estes Park, CO

I knew I was in trouble when I sat down to prep this lovely mountain wedding when Hubs said, “you have such a contented smile on your face.”

“I’m looking at weddings,” I replied.

He simply smiled, knowing.

Yep, this one’s different: the silk flowers, the mothers wedding dress…and wait until you see the ceremony views and the tender foot washing in Part 2. Shot by the amazing Meet the Burks, I just couldn’t narrow the 150 images to into an 18-26-image post. Therefore, it’s no surprise to you’ll enjoy two full parts of this wedding. I mean really, I had to!

Enjoy!!!

From Heather of Meet the Burks:

Kirstin & Jeremy were married in a destination wedding at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO. The were married with the gorgeous Rockies surrounding them, in a fairytale-like setting. Kirstin and Jeremy had a very DIY wedding. Kirstin’s dress was her mothers, but she removed the sleeves and customized it to make it perfectly “her” and a friend made her birdcage veil for her. The wine-bottles they used were saved by their friends throughout their engagement and made into centerpieces, aisle decorations, and hanging decorations. Their friends helped cut the wine bottles to use for the decorations. All the flowers used were silk flowers they put together so they could easily be transported from North Carolina. They left to the guests throwing lavender buds. The silk flowers were laid in the lavender buds through the transport so they smelled of lavender.
