What is is about Lake Tahoe brides that are just perfectly elegant! Think you have to go to Aspen or Jackson Hole for a luxurious destination mountain wedding? No way! Amy and Erik’s Lake Tahoe wedding is the height of classic rustic elegance.

Outdoor Details Inside:

The Ceremony Site was adorned with fruit wood chairs and there were birch cones with white flowers along the aisle. Most of the ceremony decor was relocated to the reception area, including the birch cones. Birch trees hung with white lights stood as a back drop for the ceremony. And at the beginning of the aisle, log branches stood vertically with simple white flower decor and hanging candles and lanterns. These were also relocated to the ballroom after the ceremony.

The Escort Table had a manzanita tree with moss orbs and moss and rocks on the table. Birch logs held escort cards and a sign holder.

The Dining Tables were rustic farm tables that had no linen but were adorned by grand center pieces that were low, lush and rustic. Birch bark and all-white flowers (including peonies, roses, cymbidiums, hydrangea, and orchids) were elevated on glass shelves with LED mercury glass votive risers.

Each table also featured mercury silver candle stick holders, and flower arrangements in both birch bark and mercury silver vases. Chargers were authentic hammered copper topped with a three-pleated napkin fold topped with almond dupioni.

Dessert-table: was a repeat version of the dining tables, but with three different heights of aspen log cake stands, with cake that had soft peony flowers on top and an ice cream display with choices of toppings and cake pops in a variety of flavors. There was an aspen log stand with a sign saying, “Love is Sweet.”

Room Decor had birch trees with white lights throughout the room and soft amber up-lighting. At the back of the ball room was a lounge area with soft brown couches piled with ivory and copper pillows. Leather wing-backed chairs, rustic coffee tables topped with mercury glass votives and tufted chocolate ottomans added lots of rustic charm. A copper organza back drop with soft amber lighting behind each couch completed the look.

Overall, the decor stayed consistent with the warm tones of the Ritz Carlton ball room’s tall knotted pine beams and its rustic chandeliers that reflected off the tables.
