A few months ago I packed up an headed to Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa and Resort with some of the most amazing wedding bloggers from the Aisle Society.
Me. The consummate mountain girl. I went to the beach.
Aaaaaaannnnd…It’s official. I love the beach. Especially the private beaches at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and Spa, which, by the way, is a gorgeous all-inclusive resort.
Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa and Resort
My time in the Bahamas was nothing short of amazing. That picture above this paragraph was literally the view from my room. In fact, I visited everyone’s room to see if I had the best view (which I was sure that I had) and everyone’s room had a gorgeous ocean view. I guess that’s the one of the many magical aspects of staying on a small island.
For three whole days we were plied with champagne, delicious food and the most relaxing atmosphere your could imagine. Oh and did I mention it’s all inclusive? That meant that the fine dining in the evening, the dance party on a private island, the cocktails by the pool, the room service and in-room bar, and even the activities like scuba diving, wind surfing, snorkeling, and kayaking, were all included.
Sandals, is all about couples enjoying “No Worry Moments” on their trip. And they deliver. You literally don’t have to worry about anything. It was so relaxing and fun!
Here are some of the highlights from the trip. (And consider this the first in a new series on Honeymoons.)
The grounds feature a playful greek-inspired architecture, gorgeously manicured tropical gardens and secret walkways, and island kitties lounging in the sun and enjoying gentle tropical breezes.
Discovery Dining
The resort features 10 restaurants, including Gordon’s on the Pier, an amazing and intimate seafood restaurant perched over crystal clear Caribbean waters. While all food is included, you still have to make reservations to Gordon’s. It’s small size, intimate setting and fine-dining experience make it a popular as the ultimate romantic evening by the sea. After dinner, Aisle Society bloggers enjoyed cocktails by a cozy fire. To say the atmosphere is relaxed is an understatement.
The following morning we were treated to a mimosa brunch with fresh fruit, delicious coffee and delightfully yummy french toast. One of my favorite parts of the trip was enjoying the impeccable service. Everyone was so kind, cheerful and ready to stop whatever they were doing and help at a moments notice. I was seriously ready to move out of the mountains and revel for the rest of my life in this sweet and carefree environment.
WeddingMoons
Sandals is a couples-only resort, which means you can tie the knot or enjoy a quiet and relaxing honeymoon without raucous kids running and splashing around everywhere. Not that I have anything against families, but sometimes you just want a bit of peace and quiet, especially after the intensity of a wedding. Sandals offers exactly that. Peace. Quiet. And one “No Worry Moment” after another.
Lunchtime brought more delicious food, more bubbly champagne and more gorgeous style for a perfect, tropical WeddingMoon. The one thing that impressed me the most is how stylish Sandals wedding designs are. I was worried that I would find outdated, out-of-the-box, churn-and-burn wedding packages. What I found were stylish tablescapes with a touch of modern tropical flare.
Sandals customizable and bespoke weddings along with the convenience of incorporating your honeymoon into this all-inclusive resort makes the entire experience truly worry free.
Red Lane Spa
One of my favorite parts of the trip, was visiting the Red Lane Spa. I found that there was so much similarity between the relaxed mountain culture and the totally chill island culture. We were treated to light and refreshing signature drinks, chair massages and sweet and savory tropical bites.
A Private Island
The final evening we were treated to dinner and dancing at Sandal’s private, off shore island, a short boat ride away. More champagne and signature cocktails flowed and we were greeted on the island with a smile and a hand-tied bouquet. Talk about getting the royal treatment!
And then, there was dancing….
