This wedding inspiration shoot may be at the Silver Fork Winery in North Carolina, but it is all inspired by Woodstock, the famed 1969 music festival in upstate New York. Browsing through these dreamy images captured by Gabrielle von Heyking Photographie you can feel the carefree vibe of the sixties hippie movement. This was a time when bold patterns and color were blooming in fashion and design. It was also a time when folk and back-to-the-land movements were taking youth culture by storm.
The team that styled the shoot decided to only use flowers native to the mountains of Western North Carolina. The dress for the shoot came from Wildflower Bridal, a one-stop shop for the hippie, fairytale, boho bride. Margaux (from Wildflower) made sure that the dress felt carefree and relaxed and was something that any bride could wear comfortably all day long. These things combined with bold vintage china and woodland details create a perfectly carefree, earthy, and vibrant theme. It’s a true tribute to the spirit of Woodstock.
