Mountain Farm Wedding in Asheville

1 Asheville Wedding Marissa Joy Photography via Mountainside Bride

So excited to share this delightful Claxton Farm wedding in Asheville with sweet rustic details. Marissa Joy Photography graciously submitted this wedding and I'm just over the moon for her photography, who captured beautifully a variety of reception and emotional details. And isn't that bouquet to die for?!

Why a Mountain Wedding?

It's beautiful, peaceful, and calming in the mountains. I also felt like it would be a great destination for guests.

Where did you find your inspiration?

Pinterest mostly, but lots in my head :-)

What were some personal details you incorporated?

We made wooden painted signs and had pictures of our dogs around the venue. Two of our dogs were also in the wedding!

Your favorite moment of the day.

Two things– First look and Seeing the guests for the first time when I walked out with my Dad.

Three things you're glad you did

  • Have lots of help the day of the wedding, not go over the top (in the end lots of details that I opted out of wouldn't have mattered anyway), and the outdoor venue

Anything you wish you hadn't done?

Lots of little details that I suspect no one noticed :-)

What was the best piece of wedding advice you got?

Allow people to help you!

What piece of wedding planning advice do you wish you followed?

We had a simple wedding– I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Anything you wish you hadn't worried about?

What other people would think about some of my decisions

Anything You wish you had known about sooner rather than later?

Not really– I was somehow very organized :)

How did you choose your vendors?

Recommendations from Claxton Farms

What is your very best advice to other mountain brides?

Relax and make it your day!
