Rosy sunsets are a mountain living staple but no less awe-inspiring to locals who see them every week. Katrina and Jacob met while being counselors at summer camp (the classic start to all epic love stories).
The couple chose Horsetooth Reservoir because of it’s proximity to Fort Collins. They’ve been on several dates to Horsetooth Reservoir and this gorgeous and dramatic place is near & dear to their hearts. They found this magical off a hidden path.
Advice from Katrina:
“After two years of marriage, the advice that I would want future brides to know is that love is a choice. You have to make that choice every day and it’s not easy. I get so frustrated with social media because all girls seem to post about is how they want the “perfect” guy and the “perfect” life and that’s just not realistic. We’re all human, so we all have flaws and that’s okay. That’s how it’s supposed to be. We can choose to help one another with those flaws every day and make each other better. I find myself frustrated sometimes because I’ll watch a romance movie and be irritated that Jacob‘s not more romantic and it’s silly because he is wonderful the way he is and those movies aren’t realistic anyway. Love your significant other for who they are, and yes it’s important to make one another better but make sure they’re realistic goals.”
