Ginger Rum Signature Drink Inspiration and Recipe

Ginger always reminds me of cooler weather and holiday celebrations, so as we move further into fall wedding season, I thought it appropriate to share this sassy, yet celebratory, signature cocktail with you. For the inspiration, I used unstructured organic details to symbolize the outdoorsy nature of fall, but kept the color palette soft and romantic because I simply love romantic wedding style. I added a bit of sparkle as an unexpected detail. The silver sparkly heels offer a bold compliment to the sassy flavors of  ginger and citrus in this delightful cocktail.

Sweet Ginger Cocktail

This brightly flavored cocktail is one for the ages and can will delight guests for a fall, winter or even spring wedding. The expert combination of  rum, creole shrubb, ginger and bitters is at once familiar yet sophisticated.

Tips:  You can find ginger juice in specialty and health food stores. I just order The Peoples Organic Ginger Juice from Amazon. Also, make sure to use the Creole Shrubb rather than a more common orange liqueur like Cointreau or  Grand Marnier. Other orange liqueurs are based on neutral spirits or brandy, whereas the Creole Shrubb is based rhum agricole, a distinctive type of rum made from sugar-cane juice rather than molasses. The Creole Shrubb has a sharper more complex flavor profile rather than the bitter-sweet profile of more pedestrian orange liqueurs, so use the Creole Shrubb. You won't regret it!
