Renee and James met in St. Petersburg, FL at Green Bench Brewery. The moment James saw Renee smile at him, he knew he had to make her his. The two spent the following summer rock climbing, camping, hiking and falling in love with each other’s families. In the fall, James proposed to Renee under a starry sky at Ft. DeSoto Camp Ground and the two began to plan their winter wedding.
They thought seriously about eloping in the mountains of North Carolina but decided they just couldn’t tie the knot without their families present. After some scouting, they decided the Botanical Gardens at Asheville would be the perfect setting to pledge their love and give a nod to their love of nature and adventure.
Both families gathered together and shared a large cabin in Black Mountain, NC for a few days, cooking and dining together and all pitching in to make the wedding a beautiful, intimate experience.

The florals were designed by a close family friend who Renee considers her “second mom”. The couple were married by Renee’s father, an ordained minister. The rest of the involved vendors are family and friends of the bride.
