As Brianna and Steve joined two families with their marriage, both families dove headlong into the joyfulness of creating a meaningful and heartfelt DIY wedding. Friends and family chipped in to make a DIY wedding cake, arranged dried flower bouquets and centerpieces and celebrated with steel drum music from Steve's band. Dev Khalsa was on hand to capture the fullness of the day.

Both families got ready and we did the reveal and family and wedding party images at Brianna's parents house, which is a large and beautiful piece of property with a creek running through it at the base of Bald Mountain in Ketchum. Brianna's family is a very talented group of DIYers. They handmade the invitations, picked, dried and made all of the flower arrangements and baked and decorated the cake. Another great detail of the wedding is that Steve is a musician and used to be in a steel drum band. He really wanted the band to play at the wedding, but there were no steel drums to be found in all of Idaho. Friends tracked the drums down in Salt Lake City, rented a trailer and drove the drums up. The band played during the ceremony and then Steve joined them to play a few songs during the reception. Steve and Brianna are a sweet, quirky couple and seem like they were made for each other. She grew up in Sun Valley and the couple now lives in San Francisco.
