I am enthralled with the rugged beauty of Iceland. So today I’m thrilled to share this Icelandic elopement! This 150 year old red small seaside church is surrounded by sod covered houses and sits where the Eurasian and American tectonic plates thrust the mountains into the heavens, while glaciers and lava fields meaner across the landscape. It’s a land of both passion and simplicity, perfect for romantic elopements and intimate weddings!
Farid and Vanessa are from Singapore. They wanted an intimate destination wedding that boasted features they had never experienced before and Iceland delivered at every turn!
One thing the bride and groom were really shocked by was the snow and wind in February (they are used to 70 degree temps!). They had never experienced extreme conditions before. So for their wedding week adventure they pushed their limits ever day by participating in the following adventures:
- Dog Sledding (they even got to meet the husky from the Walter Mitty movie)
- Glacier Hiking
- Waterfall Hunting Sites around Reykjavik
- A driving tour to The Golden Circle
- Their wedding day adventure at Thingvellir National Park
