Caramel Apple Pie-tini | Signature Drink of the Month

Caramel Apple Pie-tini

Fall is in the air in mountain towns across the nation. It’s high time I brought back the Signature Drink of the Month. Truth be told, I dropped this (and other features like “Steal This Idea”) because other blogger friends were doing those. I didn’t want to step on any toes, and the academic in me strives for complete and total originality. B

But then I realized that’s lame. You mountain brides are here for advice and inspiration for your mountain wedding. That’s why you’re on the Ultimate Mountain Wedding Blog. (Yep, I went there.)

My advice when it comes to the bar is to do a signature cocktail. It can save money over an open bar and lets you put a custom stamp on your wedding.

Need more signature drink inspiration? Lena from A Crimson Kiss features lots of them. In fact, Lena is the reason I stopped my own series. She did it so well and I didn’t want to step on her toes. I adore Lena! And check out Glamour and Grace for the fabulous “Steal This Idea” posts. I LOVE Megan!

So with out further adieu (and coming at you toward the end of the month) is September’s Signature Drink:

The Caramel Apple Pie-tini

This signature drink is perfect for early fall. I’m especially reminded of the fall apple harvest during September and October in Vermont, Up-state New York, the Berkshires, and in the southern mountains. I have fond memories of Barber’s Orchard in Waynesville, NC (45 minutes from Asheville.)

So if you’re planning an orchard or harvest themed wedding, this is the drink for you. Oh, and feel to name it anything you want ;-)

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ oz Baileys with a Hint of Caramel
  • 1/3 oz Smirnoff Twist green apple vodka
  • 1/3 oz applesauce
  • Dash of caramel syrup

Instructions

Pour the applesauce into bottom of glass and float dash of caramel. Shake all other ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker, strain and float on top of the applesauce and caramel.

Garnish with a slice of caramel apple.
