Adventure Mt Shasta Elopement

They say that love conquers all, and that was certainly the case for one adventurous couple who decided to elope on Mt Shasta. With its towering peaks and dramatic landscapes, Mt Shasta is a truly spectacular place to exchange vows. However, getting to the top of the mountain is no easy feat, and the couple had to hike for several hours before reaching the summit. But the breathtaking views were well worth the effort, and the couple was able to enjoy a truly unique ceremony surrounded by nature. Now, every time they look at their wedding photos, they’ll be reminded of the adventure that started it all.

This intimate and adventurous Elopement on Mt Shasta. They rented a gorgeous log cabin with their close family and had a sweet first look. Took off to say I do at the base of the mountain and then fired up the snowmobiles to exchange vows at the top of the mountain.

How did you meet?

We met at the flower shop my mom owned that I worked at. He was coming in for flowers for his daughter & he just happened to ask for my number but we never connected After that..a few years later we met up at church, went out to lunch and the rest of history

What is your proposal story?

It’s funny because our first date was Valentine’s Day 2018 so we really started dating that day. Fast forward a year on Valentine’s Day we wanted to go snowmobiling in Mount Shasta, CA like we did on our first date but the weather was super bad that day so we ended up going to lake of the woods, OR. We went to go check out the lake before we went riding and as the sun peaked through the clouds,Dameon got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I of course said yes! I was so so happy

Tell us about your attire choices.

I was so blessed to have a custom wedding dress made my Kala. I went to a few bridal shops and just wasn’t liking the dresses I saw. I Envisioned my dress something soft and romantic and that flowed with the mountains and the snowy background. I wanted something that was a one of a kind dress that no one else would have in the world. It was truly a piece of art. Dameon wore an all black tux with a silky black bow tie. Very classy and handsome

What were your favorite parts of the day?

That first kiss as husband and wife. We’ve spent the last 3 years kissing but that first kiss was the best. Another favorite part was jumping on the snowmobile riding up the mountain next to Dameon. Our relationship is such an adventure so it was just a super fun day!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Just breathe! And don’t be afraid to ask for help. Remember the day is about YOU and your commitment to each other not about pleasing everyone else

Why a Mountain Wedding?

Like I had mentioned Dameon took me snowmobiling for our very first date in Mount Shasta, California. Keep in mind I’ve never rode a snowmobile before so it was a super thrill seeking first date. When Dameon proposed we knew that we wanted to have our wedding at the place where we firstFell in love and where our adventure began. We knew that we wanted to get married up in the mountains where we shared our first kiss. We wanted to ride our snowmobiles up there to have avery intimate ceremony.

What’s your biggest piece of advice for other couples planning a mountain wedding?

My biggest piece of advice would to be to find a team that will help you create your perfect mountain wedding. Photographer, videographer, Florist etc. our mountain wedding definitely would’ve happened if we didn’t have such an awesome team to make it all happen. You definitely need to get the vibe that someone is willing to create your perfect mountain adventure with you.
