It was a crisp fall day in Glacier National Park when Lance got down on one knee and asked Jennifer to marry him. As the sun set over the soaring mountain peaks and the sky turned a beautiful shade of pink and orange, Jennifer couldn’t help but feel like the luckiest woman in the world. The park had always held a special place in their hearts, and now it would forever be the place where they became engaged. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the wilderness, Lance and Jennifer sealed their love with a kiss and began planning their future together. They knew that no matter what obstacles might come their way, they would always have each other and the memories of this magical moment at Glacier National Park.
How did you meet?
Lance and I met five years ago at work. Neither one of us was looking for anything serious since we both recently got out of long-term relationships, but there he was. Little did we know that our minimal conversations and after-work group dates would slowly become just the two of us. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way and wouldn’t change a thing.
What is your proposal story?
After our second date I had gotten a new puppy, an Australian shepherd named Rex. We took him everywhere we could with us. We also added to our couplehood with another member, Finnigan, a border collie. One of our very first trips as a couple was to San Diego, California. For our four-year anniversary we took a trip to La Jolla, California for the weekend along with our pups. When Lance decided to propose, he incorporated those two things together….our pups and the San Diego are. He had a tag made that said “Will you marry me?” Rex had the responsibility of wearing it. We went to dinner at a beautiful restaurant. Lance was doing everything he could to distract me so he could put the tag on Rex without me seeing to no avail. Finally when we went back to the hotel he kept asking me if Rex had something on him. I still wasn’t catching on. After his persistence I saw the tag, cried and of course said YES! We would finally be one happy family!
Tell us about the ring/band. Please be as descriptive as possible.
CanI just say my engagement ring I’d gorgeous! It’s a two carat oval diamond with a petal basket setting set in white gold complimented with a micro pavé band.
Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.
We wanted our engagement outfits to not distract the beauty of the mountains and lake so we opted for solid colors. I went with a dusty rose flowy dress with an ivory ribbon for my hair. Lance went with a navy button-up with black slacks. We were able to stand out in the amazing scenery of Montana and Glacier National Park that was framing us. Kimberly, our photographer, was incredible. She was so easy and so fun to work with. She even got into the freezing cold water just to get the shot of us. She captured us and our engagement in the most beautiful setting I could have ever hoped for! We love her!
