Colorado, why are your mountain views this grand? Jordan and Doug’s Devils Thumb Ranch wedding was no stranger to those epic panoramic sights of the Rockies sitting pretty in the background. The sweet duo’s autumnal fête displayed everything we would want a Colorado ranch wedding to be: bold reds and oranges paired with jewel tones, horses roaming, and a heavenly outdoor space with easy access to those aforementioned grand views. Our hats off to Lucy Schultz Photography who took every wonderful shot imaginable.
Why a Mountain Wedding?
Doug proposed to me on the Colorado River and fall in the mountains really doesn’t get any better when it comes to colors and pictures.
What are three things you’re glad you did?
The first look, everybody staying either onsite or close to the venue, and sticking to my vision.
What are 3 things you wished you hadn’t done or hadn’t worried about?
The weather, weather, weather.
How did you find your vendors?
Mostly online on the bride sites and then a couple I googled based on proximity of the venue location. I tried to employ most vendors from the mountains.
What’s your biggest piece of advice for other couples planning a mountain wedding?
Follow your vision and stay on top of your vendors.
