On a recent trip to Asheville, North Carolina, I had the absolute pleasure to visit a few of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues this mountain city has to offer. While Asheville is most famous for it’s magnificent Biltmore Estate, I wanted to offer a roundup of the best and most unique wedding venues in Asheville as an alternative to The Biltmore. Here are my top picks:
Homewood
Fondly referred to as “My Beloved Homewood, this historic stone and wood manor is nestled in a secret wooded grove in the heart of Asheville’s post-Victorian Montford District, less than a mile from downtown Asheville. Homewood has been beautifully restored to its original elegance with original hardwood floors, delightfully warm cherry walls, great fireplaces built from local Appalachian stone, and luminous wrought iron chandeliers. Grove Park Inn

The Venue

The Grand Bohemian
Although The Grand Bohemian is a new property in the Biltmore Village, the attention to detail that went into building this decadent Old-World inspired hotel will leave your guests feeling as though they stepped back in time into a grand European hunting lodge. The Tudor-inspired exterior fits perfectly with the historic buildings at the entrance to the great Biltmore Estate. The interior features a perfect mix of modern luxury and historic charm dripping with rich rustic detailing, decadent antiques and stunning art pieces valued in the millions.
