Logan contacted Katie from Red Boat Photography a few weeks before his planned weekend stay at Butterfly Gap with girlfriend Sydney.
Katie recounts, “You could hear the excitement and nervousness in his voice as we went over the details of his surprise engagement.”
He planned to propose in the most gorgeous spot on the property–the mountain overlook. Logan wanted everything to be perfect. He traveled to the site several days beforehand and calculated the timing of the sunset to create the most romantic moment possible.
Logan and Katie were so sneaky!
As Logan and Sydney approached Katie at the overlook, she was snapping photos of the sunset and asked if they would model for as she was a “new photographer looking for portfolio pieces.” They agreed. Katie posed them, and Logan got down on one knee. The look in Sydney’s face was so sweet. Of course she said yes! As the sun dipped to the horizon, Logan slid the rose gold ring onto her finger and it was all hugs and smiles for the rest of the session.
