One of the things I love most about Mountainside Bride readers is their sense of adventure. I mean getting married in the mountains can be an adventure in itself! I also love each couple’s commitment and connection to the mountains. Not in a, “hey isn’t that pretty way,” but rather in a, “hey let’s go have fun!” way. So it is with great joy that I kick off the week with a snowy skiing and snowboarding engagement shoot in the Colorado backcountry, captured by James Moro.

Tip: If you are planning a Rocky Mountain or Sierra Nevada wedding and are wondering why I am still posting skiing and snowboarding engagement shoots in a winter wonderland, it’s because in the Rocky Mountains ski resorts stay open until April most years. In Mammoth Lakes, the ski area often stays open until the Fourth of July. So your early spring wedding in the mountains may in fact look like a winter wedding.
