Real Handmade Wedding at Mountain High ~ Part 1

I am delighted to share a gorgeous wedding that  Wenatchee wedding photographer Stephanie Fry shot. There is so much to love about this down-to-earth mountain wedding! It's a little bit outdoorsy, a little bit vintage, and lots of fun. I mean honestly, this couple and their families look like some of the funnest people the world. The joy and exuberance of the day is clear on everyone's face.

I love the idea of a camping wedding. It's intimate, inexpensive, and can keep the celebration going for days. Camp weddings also lend themselves to simple details. Hand painted wooden signs and DIY photo booths made with cast off sheets complement the casual whimsy of a camp wedding.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: when you have amazing scenery, you need very little in the way of additional decorations and design elements. You don't need much more when you are surrounded by the natural beauty and stunning views in the high country.

There is nothing quite so special as wildflowers blooming in the mountains. Especially in the west, mountains are not always the most hospitable places for flowers, making their bloom all teh more special. What could be better for such a remarkable occasion than a bouquet of wildflowers for a mountain wedding. While dahlias are not indigenous to mountains in the west, they go well with the texture and colors of the wildflowers.
