I’ve been sitting on this super pretty pink mountain wedding at Canyons Ski Area in Utah for over a year. I contacted James Erick last March. He said yes to publication (w00t!) and I asked for the bride’s contact info to get my signature Hindsight Bride interview for you, but I had the wrong email address. :-( I followed up with James, but to no avail. So, I filed it away in my “pending file” and unfortunately I forgot about it… until this weekend when I was cleaning out my files. I thought, screw it, it’s my blog, I’ll publish it if I want. Tada!

Obviously, What you won’t find are bits of advice and hindsight lessons from the bride. And you also won’t find much vendor information. (If you are a vendor who worked on this wedding [especially on that cake] please contact me so I can give you credit!)

What you will find is a mountain wedding that is not rustic. It’s pink and pretty with a touch of sass. That hot pink just slays me! You’ll also find inspiration and ideas, like having the groom’s mom walk him down the aisle too. You’ll find elegant details like the string of pearls the bride wore, and the pretty satin cuffed high heels. And you’ll find lots of hot pink inspiration. Personally, I am in love with that cake. While I’m not one to love pink for the sake of loving pink, I do think that cake is particularly well done, with the pink dogwood blooms on the top and bottom and the white flowers in the middle. What are those? Peonies?

Anyway, the point is just because you’re a mountain girl doesn’t mean you can’t go ultra pretty and girly for your wedding. If you’re all about mason jars and cowboy boots, go for it. But if you’re a self-described girly-girl who loves the mountains but also loves her Jimmy Choo’s, go with it. Girl it up!  It’s your wedding, you can do what you want!
