Why did you choose the Mountains for your wedding?
We love the beauty of the mountains meeting the calm turquoise water of Tahoe. Tahoe is a beautiful memorable location especially with the views from Edgewood’s venue. You have the beach, lake and mountains all at your fingertips along warm days and cool nights.

Dinner, the food at Edgewood is amazing!
What are three things you’re super glad you did?
- Have Eric Asistin and his assistant Rob photograph our wedding.
- Have an acoustic guitarist named Millton Merlos to play for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner.
- Last but not least, Edgewood, it is a first class venue that has the receipt to a perfect wedding.
What was the biggest challenge in planning your mountain wedding and how did you overcome it?
We live in Connecticut so distance was the number one issue. We came out the year before to pick out the venue and meet as many vendors as possible. Luckily we meet our photographer, who we did an engagement session with. He recommended a hand full of local vendors for cake, flowers, and music.
How did you find and choose your vendors?
We found a a handful of vendors from recommendation and pick the ones we liked best from meeting everyone in person on our initial trip.
What is your best piece of advice to other mountain brides who are planning their weddings?
Make sure the wedding venue you choose has a back up plan for rain if it’s going to be outside. It rained for a good hour before the wedding but the rain stopped just before the ceremony.
