About Casey and Adam

Casey and Adam care deeply for their family and friends. Their most cherished times are filled with the company of others and they take pride in and enjoy planning and organizing the next gathering. As a couple, they crave adventure in the outdoors, on the lake, ocean, and mountain.

Adam taught Casey how to fish on one of their first dates, Casey now out fishes him on every trip. On a random day, you may find them gathering goods for the next at home project, attempting to perfect the best pizza topping combination, or getting a group together for a few games of extended cocktail bocce. Prior to dating, one of Casey’s best friends and bridesmaids said to Adam “all I want is a Casey Tracy” and we know how that story ends…

Location and venue details

All Souls Interfaith Gathering, Shelburne, VT, is a center focused on community and one’s spiritual journey. Casey and Adam selected it because while they both love the mountains of Vermont, their real love of Vermont stems from their time on the lake. ASIG is a venue that offers a tremendous amount of natural beauty but really is also a blank canvas. It allowed us to really personalize the day. From the ceremony location and set up of the tent, layout, and use of inside, we were able to make decisions about the type of experience we wanted to have as well as what we wanted our guests to take away.

Inspiration behind the day

We love to be with and entertain friends and family, and some of our favorite times are around the dinner table, when the air is filled with the scent of the delicious meal we will enjoy, lots of laughter, good tunes, but mostly our favorite people. We wanted our guests to feel like they were at the most intimate dinner party ever. We also wanted our guest to experience Vermont in the fall, but not in a cliche way. The charm of Vermont is found in the warm color of the leaves that have turned on the trees; the grass that is still green, you can hear crunching on leaves that have fallen and dried; the multi-tonal shades of blue, not just from the beautiful Lake Champlain, but also from the layers of the Adirondack mountains.

Advice for brides planning:

Ask for help- you don’t need to do everything yourself. Prioritize- pick a few things that are important to you and don’t stress about the other details. It will help you make decisions. Think about the feeling you want your guests to have at your wedding.
