Top Spots for Portraits in Yosemite

While we are on the subject of dream weddings, I would have loved to get married in Yosemite Valley and held a reception at the fabulously elegant Ahwahnee Hotel. Last week, this utterly divine wedding in the fantastically sublime Yosemite Valley graced the pages of the ever-so-wonderful Style Me Pretty blog and reminded me of how much I miss home sometimes. Living in Mammoth Lakes Ca I would often take a day trip into Yosemite to climb or just hike around. I can’t tell you how much I miss the dry, cool mountain air and the dusty small of pine and granite. What an amazing place to do anything!

Yosemite is also a relatively easy destination spot for most of California. It’s a beautiful 3-hour drive from San Fransisco. While it’s a bit farther from L.A., guests can fly into Mammoth Lakes and rent a car for the stunning 2 hour drive up the Eastside of the Sierra in into the park, passing the highest points of elevation through Tuolumne Meadows.

With scenery like this, you barely need decorations. Here are a few of my favorite spots in The Valley:
