Why did you choose the Mountains for your wedding?

I grew up in Colorado and have always loved the mountains and the outdoors. After returning to Colorado after attending college in Arizona, I fell in love with the mountains even more and realized how much I had taken them for granted. They are the most beautiful backdrop.

How did you choose to personalize your wedding?

My husband and I did long distance for awhile (over 5,000 miles), so I tried to incorporate this element into the decorations. Etsy had many great ideas for personalizing my wedding.

What was your favorite part of the reception?

Music, food, and dancing.

What are three things you’re super glad you did?

  • I am glad i chose to have a winter wedding on a Sunday evening.
  • I am glad I did cupcakes instead of cake.
  • I am glad I did not do first look pictures, and saw my husband for the first time down the isle.

What was the biggest challenge in planning your mountain wedding and how did you overcome it?

It was very difficult finding a venue as there are so many options. I overcame this by only looking at a few venues that were decently priced. Your wedding will be amazing no matter where the location is.

How did you find and choose your vendors?

I found my vendors through friends and the internet.
