Best Decor

I love a bride who thinks outside the rustic box. This DIY bride incorporated a pretty color palette with vintage details for a mountain wedding to remember.

Best Dessert

Who wouldn’t say yes to vanilla cake whoopee pies in lieu of traditional wedding cake? A few sprigs of lavender and a pretty lace runner elevate this casual treats to wedding-worthy sweetness.

Best Portrait

Jay Philbrick secured the help of professional rock climbing guides to secure this bride and groom as they rappelled down to this small ledge on Cathedral Ledge for a fall wedding portrait session. The result is nothing short of spectacular.

Best Hindsight Advice

Don’t take necessary responsibility for everyone’s dietary needs. I obsessed in the weeks before the wedding about everyone’s vegetarian needs and gluten allergies. It really shouldn’t have been my problem – better to just let the people with special dietary advocate for themselves during the event.
