Ali and Gavin are the new Berrys. They used their last name to its fullest potential on their beautiful wedding day, with berry hues, berry jam favors, and berry named tables. The two tied the knot atop a gorgeous keystone peak and danced the night away in one of Keystone’s mountaintop lodges. The newlyweds have two beautiful daughters together and live in Denver, CO.

Why did you choose the Mountains for your wedding?

My husband and i are both from Colorado and we just love the mountains and the beauty that Colorado has. we wanted to feel like it was away from the city yet still close to home.

Wedding day theme:

i didn’t really have a theme but wanted it to feel classic and elegant with the slight mountain feel. I wanted a lot of it to be timeless and something our guest would remember forever. We did have a lot of berries involved since Berry is our last name

Where did you find your inspiration?

I did a lot of searching from Pinterst. I wanted all the little details to be notice yet still feel like they made the whole day perfect.

How did you choose to personalize your wedding?

I added berries into a lot of things since it was our last name. the favors was homemade Married berrys jam.

What was your favorite part of the reception?

The dancing and the music just that special time with my loved ones.

What are three things you’re super glad you did?

  • Things that i needed done.
  • I didn’t spend the money on a coordinator they are expensive but had a list for not so close friend to help take care of stuff so me and my family didn’t have to worry about a thing.
  • I also did a one stop shop venues. they did drinks food location i only had to talk to one person. advice _ tell someone to make sure you eat cake i missed the cake from one of the best cake makers in the land! Ned Archibald from The keystone resort.

What was the biggest challenge in planning your mountain wedding and how did you overcome it?

Getting people to come up to the location, a lot of my wedding party didn’t come until the day of i wish they were there a day ahead. My wedding was on a Friday though

How did you find and choose your vendors?

I met with each of them and all my vendors were so passionate about that they did. i could feel in in the way they talked about what they did. i knew they would take care of my big day. i also worked with the people who would be there that day.

What is your best piece of advice to other mountain brides who are planning their weddings?

Remember that a lot of the scenery is beautiful and you don’t really have to do too much to enhance it.
