A Warm Homestead Wedding in Washington

It doesn’t matter where you’re at; if there’s a mountain view and a lake to go alongside it, you know the wedding will be breathtaking. Lauren and Nathan wanted a strong feeling of family and togetherness at their Lake Wenatchee wedding, so the Brown Family Homestead was shoe-in for their venue. Its Pacific Northwest vibe and rustic aesthetic was perfect for the Washington natives. Something Minted Photography captured their big day and we just adore how meaningful and genuine it was. A huge plus was Lauren and Nathan’s permanent grins in every photo.

Why a Mountain Wedding?

We are a Pacific Northwest couple through and through. Mountains and lakes make us happy, and we knew we wanted to be married outdoors.

What are three things you’re glad you did?

We’re so glad we hired a videographer, chose our venue and time of year, and went on our honeymoon two days after! Our food was also amazing.

What are 3 things you wished you hadn’t done or hadn’t worried about?

We wish we had hired our photographer for longer! Shelby was absolutely amazing to work with and we can’t get enough of the photos. We also wish we had hired a day-of coordinator, although everything went smoothly. I also probably overthought some of the decor.

How did you find your vendors?

We found our vendors through a combination of recommendations from our venue, Yelp and other review sites, and friend referrals.

What’s your biggest piece of advice for other couples planning a mountain wedding?

Stay organized with shareable documents, find experienced vendors you can trust, and don’t be afraid to delegate. Most importantly, do what feels right and genuine to you as a couple! In the end, the little details won’t matter so much. You’re marrying your best friend with your favorite people all around you.
