The ceremony is over, the happy couple has bid their good byes. The Bride sneaks away first to the river ( where her wonderful wedding planner Katie had prepared a beautiful late afternoon table of her favorite sweet treats.) She sits, creating her own calligraphy to relive their special day, awaiting the arrival of her freshly wedded husband.Then he arrives! Finally, they are alone to celebrate their newly exchanged commitment to each other.
Forget the cake cutting, forget the first dance: together alone, they will dance with each other and share morsels of warm apple cider donuts. Their florist Annie, decorated their beloved metal canoe with lovely flowers, the canoe on which he proposed beneath orange leaves.So at dusk, they row away on the Battenkill to their very own little cottage.

Annie- Florist:
“For the bouquet, I’m aiming for a palette of persimmon orange, a deeper red/burgundy, a softer blue/green with a hint of the silver dusty miller, and pops of blue.
For the table: I have a mix of fall leaves, strawflowers, and dusty miller leaves that can be spread in a 2D garland.
For the canoe: I’m planning a simple garland that attaches to the front and flows back a bit – but need to see more of the canoe to figure out mechanics. I thought if we’re having lights and leaves inside we don’t want to go to over the top with flowers outside?
I made strawflower hairpins for the model in the event you want to play around with them.”

The Apple Barn is a Vermont staple offering the most scrumptious, daily baked desserts ranging from pies, cookies, croissants and danishes. An assortment of these yummy tarts for used for the shoot.
Tell us about your attire choices.
The Bride is wearing a laced 3/4 sleeve feminine, vintage silhouette to compliment the grooms modern bohemian look.
Describe the tablescape elements.
Katie- wedding planner – about the desserts and dessert table: “I was kind of imagining a few different kind of sweet things, like some cupcakes, mini pies, candied apples, etc. I was also shopping and came across these sheer curtains that I thought would look amazing draped over the dessert table. ”
