Grand Teton Vintage Sunrise Elopement in the Mountains

This laid back bride and groom headed to the mountains of Wyoming to elope. They said their vows set against the stunning and iconic backdrop of the Grand Tetons. They chose the quiet, golden moments of sunrise to say their vows. They spend the rest of the day frolicking in the mountains and finished the evening with a romantic dinner for two. This tender elopement was captured by Jamye Chrisman.

Because we had a destination elopement, we really loved that we could enjoy the whole day focusing on each other and soaking in the moment and gorgeous surroundings stress-free and distraction-free. The whole day was perfectly incredible, and I wish I could re-live it every single day!

Do what YOU and your groom want to do… even if it’s not the “traditional” thing to do. Don’t let anyone pressure you into having a wedding that won’t be what you want. The day should be about the both of you and what you both want. And don’t stress about the small things. Take time during your wedding day to let it all soak in and write down some of your favorite moments so you will remember the little details of one of the most special days of your life.

We wanted an outdoor wedding in the mountains, and Corey loves Jackson Hole. We wanted it to be in a special and unique setting, and it doesn’t get more beautiful than Grand Teton National Park!

We knew we wanted a really small and intimate wedding, and the more we thought about it, the more we wanted it just to be the two of us. We didn’t want any distractions, and we wanted to be able to enjoy every second of the day together. Having a sunrise/morning wedding was one of the best decisions we made! I loved that we woke up, got ready, and became husband and wife all before lunchtime! Then we had the entire rest of the day to celebrate each other and the love we share. That night, we had an amazing dinner at Snake River Grill and then ended our wedding night listening to music and having drinks at The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar; it doesn’t get any better than that!

There’s a wedding tradition that involves the bride wearing a sixpence in her shoe, and it’s supposed to bring the couple good luck :)
