Here are some of my Very Favorite Mountain Weddings from Around the Web
I am so saturated with wonderful mountain wedding inspiration this week that I thought I would share some of my favorites. LOL, I have so many that I have to divide the posts up. I am assuming none of you want to wait 5 hours for a million images to download. So please check make tomorrow (and possibly the next day) for a round up of amazing mountain + DIY inspiration from my favorite bloggers.
Western North Carolina: Elegance in the Mountains
I totally have to give a little shout out to the western North Carolina weddings that have garnered the attention of bloggers as far off as the UK.
June Bug Weddings featured Grace + Micajah's Biltmore Wedding this past weekend. And Whimsical Wonderland Weddings featured Amy + Justin's a Biltmore wedding this week. Both weddings are stunning examples of how a mountain wedding can be more than just mason jars and barn wood.
Mountain Elopement in California
Two things make my socks go up and down for this wedding. One, the bride's dress is not traditionally white. And two, she made it herself. I always have mad respect for the DIY brides who make their own wedding dress!
Purple + Lavender Mountain Wedding
I love any wedding that can mix classic elegance with rustic beauty. I'm also gaga for purple and my favorite herb is lavender. So I am all about this wedding. Many of you will recognize the beautiful invitations, which circulated around the Internet for awhile. Like the bride who made her own gown, this bride made these brilliant invitations herself. We're talking mad design skills here! What an inspiration.
Green DIY Wedding on White Mountain
Many of us will recognize that amazing cake! It certainly made the rounds on the Internet. While I mentioned that not all mountain weddings are about barn wood, I haffta say, I love barn wood! And ferns, and wedding signs, birch bark and rustic potted plants. I'm just that kinda girl. Needless to say, I love this wedding. The signs were made from birch bark harvested on the groom's parents property, and the wine cork sign holders were made by the couple out of wine corks they had saved over the years. Awwwwww!
Beautiful Rainy Colorado Mountain Wedding
A good attitude and a great photographer can make a rainy day wedding seem like a boon. I love the richness colors when it rains. You much check out the entire wedding at Style Me Pretty. It's full of amazing rustic elements. The couple held their reception in a rustic lodge. The guests enjoyed a cozy fire pit outside. And, for a year, the couple collected vintage plates with different animals on each one to serve dinner on. After dinner was over the guests were invited to take their unique plate home with them (presumably after it was washed.)
